Calvin arrives surprisingly on time considering what he must have on his mind these days... the new store opening on Madison, the cancellation of Steven's underwear ads and the threat of picketing by the right wing moralists. Superb hair by Howard Fugler, Roger Thompson Salon at Barneys and great grooming by Genevieve from Oz. Shoot in several formats, 120, 8x10 and 11x14. Color and b/w. Black seems to work best. He's very handsome and seems quite tranquil under the lights. After lunch we drive uptown in together to shoot some 35mm of him at the office and at the new store. There is a slightly cultish mood to CK Inc. Everyone is polite, good-looking and dressed in black.
